We're expecting a rather high tax bill in January - really, we need to spread the amount into smaller amounts. We've done this before but from what I understand, HMRC only allow this concession once. Is there anyone out there who knows whether it is a once-only deal or do you think it likely that they will make this arrangement?

Fear not. They are having to be customer-friendly in the current climate. You'll be fine, just get your accountant to send them a correctly worded letter.
